=Beyond the AI Hype: Rosie Solves Real Problems for Real People in Excel

Without question, AI is changing how we think about work. And we don’t get caught up in the hype. For us, the promise of AI is in its ability to solve practical, everyday problems. If you’ve ever wrestled with Excel formulas or spent hours cleaning up data, you know exactly how Rosie can help.

Today, Rosie acts as your personal AI assistant for Excel. Need help with a formula? She’ll build it. Looking for insights? She'll instantly analyze your data. She makes Excel faster, easier, and far less frustrating. Imagine a world where Rosie doesn’t just help you with Excel—she does the work for you. That’s the future we envision for Rosie—a leap forward that will unlock big productivity gains and redefine how work gets done.

=Rosie Makes Excel Enjoyable

With over 1.5 billion users, Excel is essential for business productivity, financial modeling, and data analysis worldwide. Yet despite its popularity, Excel’s core experience has remained largely unchanged for decades, and the learning curve is steep.

Many users know Excel can solve their problems, but they spend too much time figuring out how. Imagine an experience with Excel that feels like chatting with a friend who happens to be an expert in Excel. Instead of wrestling with formulas, decoding error messages, or combing through tutorials, you simply turn to Rosie and ask for what you need.

Currently, Rosie is great at:

  • Data Analysis: Ask a question, and Rosie turns raw data into insights, identifying trends, creating summaries, or visualizing results instantly.
  • Formula Writing & Debugging: Describe your need, and Rosie builds the formula. If there’s an error, she fixes it—no more troubleshooting headaches.
  • Understanding Models: Ask Rosie to translate complex models into plain English.

=A Future with Less “Work About Work”

Ask any experienced knowledge worker, and they’ll tell you that much of their day is spent on ‘work about work’—repetitive administrative tasks that don’t add value. We’re working toward a future where Rosie will take over entire workflows—importing, cleaning, categorizing, and analyzing data—further minimizing this ‘work about work’ and eventually eliminating it in most areas.

This shift, where Rosie reduces low-value tasks, matters because it changes how we think about productivity. It creates an environment where, rather than being limited by our tools, we’re empowered by them.

With Rosie, Excel isn’t just easier to use—it opens up new possibilities, freeing you from hours spent wrestling with it. Today, Rosie guides you through Excel’s challenges. In the future, she’ll do the work for you—automating tedious tasks and delivering insights directly so you can focus on interesting, high-impact work like strategy and decision-making.

=Origin Story

As the co-founder and CEO, I created Rosie to solve a problem I knew all too well. My first job as a management consultant was supposed to be strategic and impactful—working side-by-side with executives. However, the actual work was different—only 5% of my time was spent with executives, while the other 95% was buried in Excel, fixing formulas and cleaning up spreadsheets. Rosie exists to free people from this grunt work, allowing them to focus on what matters.
